A drive cam event recorder, which you can see on the driver’s windshield, will help us ensure you are safely delivered to your destination.
WHAT IS RECORDED BY IT?
The Drive Cam Event Recorder Records Driving Activities Both Inside And Outside The Vehicle In Audio And Video. There are two lenses: one faces the driver while the other faces the windshield. The lens facing the driver records everything visible via the side and rear windows and audio and video from inside the car. The forward-facing lens captures activity in front of the vehicle.
IS EVERYTHING ALWAYS CAPTURED AND RECORDED BY THE DRIVE CAM EVENT RECORDER?
No. The Event Recorder is specially designed to identify and capture only risky driving behaviors, unlike devices designed for continuous monitoring and tracking of drivers. Although the camera constantly records, the audio and video are only saved when an event occurs. Specific driving behaviors, such as abrupt braking, acceleration, excessive speeding, cornering, or collisions, lead to an event.
HOW MUCH AUDIO AND VIDEO IS CAPTURED AND RECORDED BY THE DRIVE CAM EVENT RECORDER?
The average length of a video event recording is 12 seconds. This is because the Event Recorder starts recording and saving 4 seconds after it is activated, also saving the previous 8 seconds.
THE RIGHT LIGHT FLASHED GREEN AND RED BEFORE RETURNING TO SOLID GREEN RATHER THAN SOLID RED. WHAT BECAME OF THE EVENT?
A recording of an event was activated when the green and red lights began to flash. However, it was discovered during processing that the incident was not brought on by risky driving and did not satisfy the criteria to be sent for analysis. Therefore, a solid red light is the only sign that the event was saved.
CAN ANYONE TURN ON THE EVENT RECORDER AND WATCH WHAT THE DRIVER IS DOING OR SAYING REMOTELY.
No. There is no way for anyone to activate the video event recorder remotely or to access the device remotely and live.
